In individual therapy, clients work one-on-one with a trained psychotherapist in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Sessions are tailored to the unique needs and goals of the individual. Common issues addressed include depression, anxiety, stress, grief, and other life challenges. Through the therapeutic process, clients can explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, work through challenging memories, identify aspects of their lives they would like to change, and set personal goals. This setting provides an opportunity for deep personal reflection and growth.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy provides a space for partners to explore, understand, and navigate the complexities of their relationship. With the guidance of a trained psychotherapist, couples can address issues such as communication difficulties, conflict resolution, intimacy problems, trust issues, and other relational challenges. The therapist facilitates open dialogue, helping partners recognize patterns, develop understanding, and foster deeper connection. Whether couples are seeking to strengthen their bond or considering separation, therapy can offer valuable insights and tools to enhance the relationship.

Family Therapy

Family therapy recognizes the interconnectedness of family members and addresses issues from a systemic perspective. In this therapeutic setting, families come together to explore dynamics, roles, patterns, and challenges that impact the familial unit. Guided by me, family members learn to communicate more effectively, understand individual and collective needs, and develop strategies to resolve conflicts. Counselling is a form of talk therapy that involves a collaborative and confidential process between a therapist and an individual seeking support and guidance to address personal, emotional, or psychological challenges. The primary goal of counseling therapy is to help clients explore their feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and experiences in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

What is Integrative counseling – is a therapeutic approach that combines techniques and insights from different theoretical orientations. The main idea behind integrative counseling is that no single therapeutic model fits all clients or issues, so therapists use a range of methods and interventions to tailor the treatment to the individual’s unique needs. Drawing from multiple theoretical orientations, Integrative counselors are trained in various therapeutic approaches, such as psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy and more. Depending on the client’s issues and preferences, the therapist may draw from these different models during sessions. Manner.  Integrative counseling is highly flexible, allowing therapists to adapt their approach as they learn more about the client or if certain techniques prove more or less effective during the therapy process. Integrative counselors view individuals as complex beings with physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual aspects. They consider the interconnectedness of these elements when working with clients and addressing their concerns. Integrative counselors emphasise collaboration between the therapist and the client. Clients are encouraged to be active participants in the therapeutic process, and their input and feedback are valued.

The sessions take place once a week and each session is 50 minutes long.

Confidentiality is a fundamental ethical principle in counseling and psychotherapy. Confidentiality means that the information shared by the client during counseling sessions is kept private and secure by the therapist. Clients should feel safe and assured that the details of their discussions will not be disclosed to anyone without their explicit consent. However, there are specific limits to confidentiality that counselors must adhere to, and these limits are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of the client and others. For example:  risk of Harm to Self or Others: If the counselor believes that the client poses a risk of harm to themselves or others, they may be required to breach confidentiality to ensure the safety of the individual or those involved. This can include situations where there is a risk of suicide, self-harm, or harm to others.

Finding a therapist who is a good fit for you is crucial to the success of your counseling experience. A good therapist will create a safe and non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable opening up about your thoughts and emotions. They should be able to understand your concerns, ask relevant questions, and provide clear explanations about the therapeutic process.  You may want to consider their qualifications, certifications, and professional memberships that demonstrate their expertise and adherence to ethical standards. Some individuals may prefer a more directive approach, while others may seek a non-directive, client-centered approach. What aligns with your preferences and needs?

In counselling, we offer the flexibility to work either on a short-term basis with a specific goal in mind or in an open-ended way, allowing you to delve deep into your issues and explore them at your own pace. Short-term counseling provides a focused and goal-oriented approach, helping you address immediate challenges or specific areas of concern efficiently. By setting clear objectives from the outset, we work collaboratively to find effective solutions and support you in achieving your desired outcomes. On the other hand, open-ended counseling offers a more extensive and in-depth exploration of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. With no strict time constraints, we create a safe and nurturing space for you to delve into underlying issues, gain profound insights, and foster personal growth and healing. Whether you opt for a short-term or open-ended approach, our priority is to tailor the counselling process to your unique needs and preferences. I believe in the power of a trusting and empathetic therapeutic relationship, where you can feel heard, validated, and supported throughout your journey of self-discovery and positive change. Together, we will determine the most suitable approach to help you achieve your therapeutic goals and lead a more fulfilling life.

At present all the therapy sessions are online. We will soon confirm the physical address of our office.
